When you choose to connect your Google Analytics account to RankinAE, we access and process your Google Analytics data to provide AI traffic analysis and insights. This integration is optional and requires your explicit authorization.

What Google Analytics data we access:

  • Analytics account and property information (account names, property IDs, website domains)
  • Traffic metrics including sessions, page views, and session duration
  • Traffic sources and referral data (specifically AI-related traffic sources like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Bing Copilot)
  • Geographic data (country-level visitor information)
  • Page path data (which pages receive AI traffic)
  • Date-based traffic trends

How we use your Google Analytics data:

  • Display AI traffic analytics and insights within your RankinAE dashboard
  • Generate reports showing AI-driven traffic patterns to your website
  • Identify which AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.) are sending traffic to your site
  • Analyze geographic distribution of AI traffic
  • Track AI traffic trends over time
  • Help you optimize your content for AI-driven search and discovery

How we store and protect your Google Analytics data:

  • We securely store your Google Analytics access tokens using industry-standard encryption
  • Analytics data is cached temporarily (up to 24 hours) to improve performance and reduce API calls
  • We use OAuth 2.0 with refresh tokens to maintain secure, long-term access to your Analytics data
  • All data transmission between RankinAE and Google Analytics uses encrypted HTTPS connections
  • Access to your Analytics data is restricted to your authorized RankinAE account only

Data sharing and third-party access:

  • We do not sell or share your Google Analytics data with third parties
  • Your Analytics data is only accessible to you within your RankinAE account
  • We do not use your Google Analytics data for advertising or marketing purposes
  • We do not transfer your Analytics data to other users or organizations

Your control over Google Analytics integration:

  • You can disconnect your Google Analytics account at any time from your project settings
  • When you disconnect, we immediately delete your stored access tokens
  • Cached Analytics data is automatically purged within 24 hours of disconnection
  • You can revoke RankinAE's access to your Google Analytics data directly from your Google Account permissions page

Scope used: We request read-only access to your Google Analytics data using the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly. This scope allows us to view your Analytics data but not modify, delete, or manage your Analytics account settings.

RankinAE's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Send technical notices, updates, and support messages
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
